ANA is responsible for the management, operation and development of eight Portuguese airports, four on the mainland and four in the Azores.

ANA manages a network made up of small regional airports, such as that of Flores, in the Azores, but also an international hub, such as Lisbon Airport, plus one of Europe's largest tourist airports, Algarve Airport, and an airport considered by ACI (Airports Council International), as one of Europe's best Airport based on Service Quality, in Porto (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport).

With traffic approaching 26 million passengers in 2010, the airports managed by ANA serve about 80 scheduled airlines, connecting the regions of Portugal to 160 destinations worldwide.

These airports have benefitted from significant investment in recent years and are now modern infra structures equipped to meet the increasing demands of passengers and airlines.
