From 17th – 20th April, the city of Braga in Minho is completely transformed and hosts one of the most important religious holidays for Catholics: Easter.

During this time decorations adorn the city, flowers and lights fill its altars and streets, and processions pass through the city’s historical centre.

The highlights of the religious program include Christ’s Burial in which barefoot, hooded men carry Christ’s coffin through the city streets, and the Procissão Teofórica, performed inside the Sé Cathedral.

Take advantage of this opportunity to discover the Minho region and to participate in or watch its unforgettable Easter festivities.
