April 18, the International Day of Monuments and Sites is commemorated in Portugal.
If you want to get to know some of the most characteristic monuments of Porto and the North, now is your chance to explore them.
On this day, several initiatives will celebrate the date and promote Portuguese heritage, with visits and free admission to the monuments.
The list of sites you must see during your days in Northern Portugal include: the Braga Cathedral; the Medieval Castle and the Augustine Monastery in Guimarães; the open-air Archeology Museum in Barcelos; the Misericórdia Church and the forts of S. Francisco and S. Neutel in Chaves; the medieval mural and the Menagem Tower in Bragança, and in Porto: the Clérigos Tower, the Cathedral, the Casa do Infante, the church of S. Francisco, and the Palácio da Bolsa, among others.
Plan your trip with us and seven days you may visit these and many other sites, as you see here.
